The McClarty Center for Fine & Performing Arts has been on the planning books since 1975. It will provide higher education opportunities for local artists and serve the greater Reedley area. This venue will be used for educational programs, live productions, and campus and community events. Plans include an auditorium with 525 estimated seats, an art gallery, lobby, concessions, a green room, meeting spaces, and a box office.
In addition to the Measure C Bond, the project is also being funded by donations. If you would like to help make the Center for Fine & Performing Arts a reality, you can make monetary donations or even purchase naming rights for areas such as the art gallery, lobby, benches, seats, and walkway bricks.
The project was awarded to Seals Construction at the December 14, 2021 board meeting. Permanent power for both the CFPA and Reedley CDC projects was installed in August 2022. As of April 2024, interior finishes like paint, tile, and flooring are ongoing. AV cabling is in progress as well, and mechanical units are being connected to power. Sitework is moving forward, with most sidewalks poured. Construction completion is anticipated soon in 2024.
