Ag Complex Modernization & Addition

Project Status

This project modernizes facilities to achieve efficient and centralized teaching/learning environments to provide training of students in careers in the new agricultural community of today. The agriculture program has operated in several buildings (Buildings 32, 33, 44, and 49) that constitute the complex. Together these buildings support instruction in Ag Science, Ag Mechanics and Plant & Natural Resources.  As such, the spaces are outdated in today’s environment lacking technologic advances. This project provides for modernization and/or replacement of facilities as deemed necessary to achieve a more appropriate teaching and learning environment for training students for careers in the new agriculture community of today. The 25-26 state budget has approved funding for the design phase of this project. Design is planned to begin this Fall. This project will modernize the aging Agriculture Science, Ornamental Horticulture, Forestry & Natural Resources, and a portion of the Agriculture Mechanics Facilities.

Darden Architects was selected as the architect as of the September 2025 Board of Trustees meeting.
