The current Madera Community College at Oakhurst campus, which includes 10 portables situated on four acres, will be improved through the construction of permanent facilities at a new location in Oakhurst.

In July 2018, the District purchased 30 acres of property on Westlake Drive in Oakhurst. Paul Halajian Architects, partnering with Steinberg Hart, was approved by the Board of Trustees in June 2018. Faculty, staff, and students have worked with the architects through the design development phase.

The new campus will include a mixed use building housing educational, administrative, and community spaces. Work will also include master planning for the entire campus.

Paul Halajian Architects, partnering with Steinberg Hart, was approved by the Board of Trustees in June 2018 to design the new site and facilities.

As of the end of July 2025, the exterior CMU walls are nearing completion. Steel erection has started, with the classroom wing complete. The admin wing steel roof structure has been installed. CMU walls in the science wing will complete the primary concrete block installation for the buildings. Onsite utilities are ongoing; the sewer line installation is nearly complete. The domestic water line documents have been approved by Madera County and is under review with the water district. Site work has begun which  includes, parking lot and entrance driveway grading.
