Welcome!

All benefit-eligible employees are required to log into their BenefitBridge account to review and select health benefits for the upcoming plan year: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026.

Important: If you do not complete your benefit elections in BenefitBridge during the Open Enrollment period, you and your eligible dependents will be automatically enrolled in the Kaiser Permanente High-Deductible Health Plan—the plan with the lowest employee cost—effective October 1, 2025.

If the Kaiser High Deductible Health Plan is not your preferred option, take action now to select a different plan before the deadline, 4:30 PM. August 29, 2025.

*Employees can elect to have their monthly employee payroll deduction taken out pre-tax as allowed through the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 125 plan with American Fidelity.

BenefitBridge

BenefitBridge is the District's online benefit administration system. Employees will make all plan changes in BenefitBridge. You can access BenefitBridge through your MyPortal apps catalog.

Section 125 Flexible Spending Accounts Open Enrollment

Section 125 Flexible Spending Accounts plan year runs from October 1st through September 30th of the following year.

There are two types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Healthcare FSA and Dependent Care FSA. The Healthcare FSA allows you to set aside money before taxes for eligible healthcare expenses. The Dependent Care FSA lets you reimburse yourself with pre-tax money for expenses associated with dependent care for your eligible children.

If you currently have a flexible spending account, your election does not automatically renew, you must meet with American Fidelity to make your new elections for plan year October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026.

American Fidelity FSA and Voluntary Benefit Products Zoom Meeting

American Fidelity will host an informational meeting via Zoom on August 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Register and attend this event to learn more about available products.

If you would like to learn about FSA accounts as well as voluntary benefit products such as cancer insurance, accident insurance, and more, plan on attending this event!


Voluntary Long Term Disability Open Enrollment (Employees hired on/after 9/1/2013)

VOYA Voluntary Long Term Disability Insurance Benefit Summary

All employees hired on/after September 1, 2013, have the option to enroll in the voluntary long-term disability (LTD) at cost. If you did not enroll upon initial hire, you now have the opportunity to apply during the 2025 Annual Open Enrollment period.

To apply:

  1. Complete the Voluntary Long-Term Disability Enrollment election via BenefitBridge by 4:30 PM on August 29, 2025.
  2. Download and complete the required Evidence of Insurability (EOI) form (available when you elect the benefit in BenefitBridge) and submit to ReliaStar/VOYA no later than August 29, 2025. You can submit online through VOYA's secured site. Failure to submit the EOI form to ReliaStar/VOYA will result in denial due to an incomplete application. (It is recommended to save a copy of the EOI form and submission information for your records).
  3. Upon receiving your EOI form, ReliaStar/VOYA will review and may request additional information from you directly.
  4. Upon completing their review, ReliaStar/VOYA will notify you, as well as the District, if you are approved or denied for the voluntary LTD coverage. Should you be approved, the benefits and payroll deductions will become effective the first of the following month from date of approval.

Please note this process may take several months and is reliant on your communication with ReliaStar/VOYA. For status updates, reach out to ReliaStar/VOYA directly.


Long-Term Disability Buy-Up Option Open Enrollment (Employees hired before 9/1/2013)

VOYA Long-Term Disability Buy-Up Benefit Summary (Employees hired before 9/1/2013 who earn $100,000+)

This option is available to employees who were hired prior to 9/1/2013 and make over $100,000 per year. This option allows you to increase your LTD coverage from a maximum benefit of $5,000 up to $7,000.

If you would like to enroll in this option, you will be required to go through the Evidence of Insurability process.

To apply:

  1. Complete the Long-Term Disability Buy-Up Option Enrollment election via BenefitBridge by 4:30 PM on August 29, 2025.
  2. Download and complete the required Evidence of Insurability (EOI) form (available when you elect the benefit in BenefitBridge) and submit to ReliaStar/VOYA no later than August 29, 2025. You can submit online through VOYA's secured site. Failure to submit the EOI form to ReliaStar/VOYA will result in denial due to an incomplete application. (It is recommended to save a copy of the EOI form and submission information for your records).
  3. Upon receiving your EOI form, ReliaStar/VOYA will review and may request additional information from you directly.
  4. Upon completing their review, ReliaStar/VOYA will notify you, as well as the District, if you are approved or denied for the voluntary LTD coverage. Should you be approved, the benefits and payroll deductions will become effective the first of the following month from date of approval.

Please note this process may take 1-2 months and is reliant on your communication with ReliaStar/VOYA. For status updates, reach out to ReliaStar/VOYA directly.


Trustmark Universal Life with Long Term Care Benefit

Trustmark Universal Life Events and Universal Life program are are unique life insurance options that provide not only permanent life insurance coverage, but also peace of mind later in life with their Long-Term Care riders.

To start the enrollment process, elect the enrollment in BenefitBridge. You will need to go through an Evidence of Insurability process with Trustmark to finalize the enrollment.


Voluntary Benefit Products

Employees can sign up for voluntary benefit products such as additional life insurance, accident insurance, cancer insurance and more. Please contact the individual vendor below to get information about the products, pricing, and to elect coverage.

Formal Information Meetings

District Human Resources staff and our broker, Keenan, will conduct virtually two (2) formal informational meetings via Zoom. At these meetings, there will be a PowerPoint presentation along with a general Q&A session. The first meeting will be recorded and available for those who may request it.


On-Campus Office Hours

The Human Resources benefits staff will be on each campus for open office hours. Drop in anytime during the event time to speak with and get assistance from a member of the benefits team. Please feel free to bring your laptop for hands on assistance.

Kaiser Permanente Virtual Drop-In Meetings

The Kaiser team will also hold virtual drop-in meetings. If you have questions regarding any of the Kaiser HMO plans, please drop in any time during the event to speak to a Kaiser representative 1:1. No formal presentations will be given during these virtual meetings.
