Trustee Area Redistricting: New Map Adopted

On January 11, 2022, the Board of Trustees adopted Map Scenario 5 to change its internal trustee area boundaries. The board's vote followed a several-month-long redistricting process based on the 2020 decennial census data, which showed that population changes over time caused some trustee areas to become significantly larger than others. Under the new map, the trustee areas will be approximately equal in population size and within acceptable variance.

Map Scenario 5 will be forwarded to the Fresno County Committee on School District Organization for a hearing and approval.

On April 21, 2022, the Fresno County Committee on School District Organization approved by a unanimous vote the District’s Map Scenario 5 after a public hearing. General Counsel Besmer will work with the Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters to update the trustee area boundaries for the November 2022 election.
