Special Board of Trustees Meeting Sept 24 2021

If you were unable to attend the September 24, 2021 Special Board of Trustees meeting, here are some of the actions that took place.

The Board approved Resolution No. 2021.36 which identified potential challenges for students who were enrolled in SCCCD programs at the time the vaccination requirement was issued, but who are not yet fully vaccinated or do not yet have an approved medical or religious exemption.

The changes to the Resolution 2021.28 which was passed on August 23, 2021 include the following:

The compliance date for the District’s vaccination requirement for students is extended until November 15, 2021.

Student Athletes and coaches from visiting colleges and officials for athletic competitions may compete and officiate in District facilities as long as visiting student-athletes and coaches and officials adhere to all applicable CCCAA COVID-19 mitigation protocols.

Spectators attending an indoor athletic, academic, or art events must show proof of being fully vaccinated or a negative COVID-19 test with a specimen taken no more than 72 hours before entry into District facilities.

A person wearing a face covering regardless of vaccination status may temporarily enter District facilities for up to 15 minutes to use restroom facilities, drop off or pick up items or equipment, or food from the pantry.

Individuals with an approved medical or religious exemption will be tested twice a week.
