State Center Community College District, which includes Fresno City College, Reedley College, Clovis Community College, Madera Community College, Madera Community College at Oakhurst and the Career and Technology Center, prepares students for various well-paying careers. Many of our career technical programs, such as nursing, firefighting, HVAC, construction, etc., provide services that are critical to our community. For example, when it is 110 degrees outside and the air conditioning needs fixing, the HVAC professional is a hero!

Fresno City College
Fresno City College was established in 1910 and has the distinction of being California's first community college. Fresno City College serves approximately 34,000 students per year and offers more than 120 associate in arts and science degree programs and 96 certificate of achievement programs in vocational/occupational areas. The college includes police and fire academies and the largest nursing program in the west.
Reedley College
Established in 1926, Reedley College has the largest California community college farm and is one of only 11 California community colleges to have a Residence Hall. Reedley College is comprised of the main campus located in Reedley and college centers located in Madera and Oakhurst. The college and centers serve approximately 15,000 students annually.
Clovis Community College
Clovis Community College serves nearly 12,000 students in the Central Valley. Clovis Community College offers state-of-the-art facilities with a dynamic campus culture embracing diversity, individualism, and uniqueness of our student population. The main campus is located on Willow Avenue and the Herndon Campus located near Peach and Herndon.
Madera Community College
Madera Community College has been serving the needs of its residents since 1988. Located at the edge of Madera on Avenue 12 east of Highway 99, The center includes a 50-thousand square foot academic village complex that houses science, computer, and art laboratories, in addition to a 150 seat lecture hall. The campus provides comprehensive and innovative programs in transfer/general education, occupational education, and developmental education.
Madera Community College at Oakhurst
The Oakhurst Center of the State Center Community College District serves Oakhurst, Mariposa County, Coarsegold, North Fork and the surrounding communities with over 75 courses in a variety of study areas. The center is located at Highway 41 and Road 426 and is housed in six buildings. Distance learning courses are available, including two-way interactive television with State Center Community College District sites and on-line courses. The center includes a science classroom, computer lab, and increased course sections.
Career and Technology Center (CTC)
The Fresno City College Career & Technology Center is an award winning vocational education program providing open entry, low cost, short term workforce training in automotive and industrial occupations. For over 40 years, CTC has taught practical skills in an environment closely resembling actual work sites. Students leave as highly skilled workers ready for well-paying jobs. Working in partnership with businesses and the community, CTC programs are directed by industry standards. New programs are continually developed to teach skills that relate directly to jobs.
