SCCC Foundation’s Osher Scholarships
In May 2008, the Bernard Osher Foundation pledged a gift of $50 million to launch the California Community Colleges Scholarship Endowment, making it the single largest gift to a community college system in the nation and one of the largest gifts ever made to higher education.
In the fall of 2009, the Bernard Osher Foundation offered a 1-to-2 match on every dollar contributed for those interested in investing in students achieving a higher education. A total of 43 scholarships were established – with the Bernard Osher Foundation matching each of them.
