Center for Applied Technology
The Applied Technology programs are located in a series of six buildings originally constructed in 1960. These include T-100, T-200, T-300, T-400, T-500, and T-600. In 2024, the Automotive Technology program and a good portion of the Manufacturing Technology programs (welding) were relocated to the New West Fresno Center leaving spaces vacant. This project is aimed at modernizing/replacing the buildings with new construction that effectively meets the expanded program and instructional methodology for the remaining programs.
The project is planned for a Design-Build delivery method which will commence with hiring a bridging document architect to provide the design criteria documents. This will be followed shortly thereafter by a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP) for Design-Build Entity (DBE) Teams.
