Center for Applied Technology

The Applied Technology programs are located in a series of six buildings originally constructed in 1960. These include T-100, T-200, T-300, T-400, T-500, and T-600. In 2024, the Automotive Technology program and a good portion of the Manufacturing Technology programs (welding) were relocated to the New West Fresno Center leaving spaces vacant. This project will provide a new building to relocate the remaining programs from the existing T buildings on campus to meet the expanded program and instructional needs.

The project is planned for a Design-Build delivery method and the design criteria architect, Gensler, was approved at the September 2025 board meeting to commence bridging documents. A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) for Design-Build Entities will be issued in the late fall/winter 2025.
