Kinesiology and Wellness Center

This project provides a teaching facility for kinesiology, physical education, and wellness. The college presently offers a limited number of courses in this discipline which are included in the AA/AS degree requirements. The offerings are limited by the absence of adequate teaching facilities. The project includes a gymnasium, lockers/showers, aerobics, dance, and weight training facilities.

The project has received State approval to proceed and architect interviews were held on August 15, 2025.  Four architects were interviewed with HMC Architects selected and approved at the September 2025 board meeting.  A kick-off meeting was held on September 25th with HMC Architects and the campus to begin programming for the schematic design portion of the project.  Multiple meetings are scheduled over the next couple of months to complete programming and schematic design for submittal of the preliminary plans to the State Chancellor’s Office by the end of this year.
