Oversight Committee

Now Accepting Applications

State Center Community College District is currently accepting applications for volunteer members for the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee.  California law requires certain persons to be represented on the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee and the following public interest categories are needed for representation:

  • Senior Citizens' Organization
  • Bona-fide Tax Payers' Association
  • Community at Large (3 Members Needed)

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Members may not include any employee, official of the District or any vendor, contractor or consultant of the District.

Members are appointed to serve two-year terms beginning the Fall of 2022 and will be eligible for reappointment by the Board of Trustees for two additional two-year terms.

Under the provisions of California Proposition 39, the Measure E and Measure C Oversight Committee is charged with informing the public concerning the District's expenditure of bond proceeds, reviewing bond expenditures, and providing an annual report to the State Center Community College Board of Trustees.
